Katy Hornbeck married her husband Kyle in August 2011. They are hoping to start a family in a few years. Katy went to Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and graduated in 2009 with a BA in Social Science. After graduating, she stayed in San Diego (who wouldn’t?) and worked part-time as a nanny while working on her teaching credential. In the spring of 2011, Katy received her California state teaching credential in Secondary Education. After moving back to the Bay Area, Katy was offered a position as the 6th grade teacher at Cornerstone and feels very blessed and grateful to be a part of a wonderful school and staff. She is also coaching the Junior High school girl’s volleyball team and is the advisor for the Debate Club. Katy enjoys playing on her guitar, going to concerts with her husband, and eating bean and cheese burritos! Her life verse is Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
